Some time ago, while reading Deepak Chopra's The Path To Love, an experience led me to the inner KNOWING of his statement that ALL love is ultimately with the One Self inside each of us.

A friend was relating her experience with a new church group she had joined, similar to Girl Scouts, in which she was teaching girls similar in age to her daughters. She had had no communication with her daughters for two years, as her former husband had supposedly poisoned their minds against her. Though she missed them desperately, she had found great joy in working with the church group, and felt love for the new girls much like that she felt for her daughters.

It was then that I had the realization that I shared with her. It is not that mothers love their children BECAUSE they are her children, but rather that mothers take down the BARRIERS to the natural love that IS when they give birth to a child. Because of her pain, her love was forced to extend to other children to find its natural expression.

And so the events that were, to her ego mind so tragic, the "loss" of her children's love, was actually a method of finding MORE love, another demonstration that ALL WORKS TOGETHER FOR GOOD (ACIM).
