As members of the human race, we have always been participating in God's Great Plan. Now we have grown in awareness to the point that we can CONSCIOUSLY participate in our spiritual evolution. As one of the aware lightworkers in the world, you share my knowing that the only true joy is sharing the love and peace that we have discovered, that there IS nothing else to seek, and nothing worth giving but our love. We KNOW that we are headed for a brighter future of harmony and ONEness as so beautifully described by Barbara Marx Hubbard in The Revelation (quoted at: The IS Foundation), and are consciously doing our part in our unique ways. Now it is time for us to consciously join our efforts, to support the work of others and accept the support of others as part of the cohesive whole. One way we can do that is by linking through the internet. One of the hardest things for us "separated" humans is to ask for (and accept) help from others. Though those of us aware we are on a spiritual path know giving and receiving are one, it is easier to give as it allows the ego to feel magnanimous too. Now it is time for me to ask for your help. For the first 9 years on my path, it was mostly intellectual, preparing the way. For the last 9 years it has been practical, as I have been LIVING the teachings and EXPERIENCING the love and joy Truth teaches us. Part of that has been learning to give more, and more perfectly. It started with small amounts, not to enable "needy" people, but as a means to reach those seeking truth. A few years ago I was guided to give all the money I had at the time to someone for an operation, and realized it was a lesson in trust for me to give up my "reserve". In 1995, after months of giving away hundreds of xeroxed copies of IS, I was guided to print 10,000 copies at a cost that was more than double what I had in "reserve". After delaying as long as I could (see Procrastination) they came off the presses September 9, 1995. It was amazing to see how quickly Divine Intelligence worked to show me Its power, and PROVE that giving is receiving in a manner that I could understand as REAL. The first of many letters, cards, calls and email came a few days later, when a young woman wrote "My whole life I have prayed for a teacher. Last night I prayed for one, and this morning here is this book". I don't know how, but in a few days a copy had found its way to Irving, Texas, where it was needed. Another, from an elderly man in Pahrump, said "I don't really like to read, nor do I write letters to strangers. This book has inspired two things I would never, nor have I ever done in my life. It comes to me in a time of need and you are right, in need, has led me to desire spiritual growth." While I would have expected to feel great ego satisfaction, my feeling was one of awe, and gratitude that I was finally learning to fulfill my function to extend love in this world. The monetary cost was nothing compared to the love I felt, and though I was in "debt" monetarily (that year I gave away more than 60% of my income) I felt full and complete. The lessons have continued, as they always do, and it seems I am breaking the chains of the money-god we have created (see Money). One of the key factors was an article in Science of Mind magazine many months ago, which said "it is just as disastrous to eschew (avoid) food and deny the spiritual man as it is to be a glutton". I realized that I, like many on the spiritual path, tried to deny the need for money in this world, thereby making it a devil opposing God. I realize that many of us "talk" a great spiritual awareness, but when it comes down to dealing with MONEY, that is a whole different world. Yet we live in an age of tremendous spiritual growth, and the "old" ways are making way for the new. EVERYTHING we do is part of that Divine process, and EVERYTHING can be USED in that process. While the "dark" forces are awash in money, and have no compunctions about using it to further their goals, most "lightworkers" seem to avoid the use of money, and condemn those who even try to use "filthy lucre" in their good works. It is time for that to change, for if we are to evolve spiritually, we must reach ALL people, and must have the means to do that. IS has been expanding with the addition of more insights, from 33 in the paperback version to 83 now online. While those of us on the internet have access to many spiritual sources, those "on the street" do not, and ALL of us must grow for humanity as a whole to evolve. Having sufficient evidence that IS reaches those who would never buy a book or seek spiritual guidance, I have been guided to form The IS Foundation to print millions of copies of the expanded IS, and give them away in the same manner as the first 10,000 copies. This will be a new way of publishing, sharing thoughts freely rather than for monetary gain as in current publishing, and will lead to more books being given away the same way. This is far beyond *my* ability, and so I ask for YOUR assistance. We need about $5 million to print and distribute 5 million IS books as a start. We believe that this will make such an impact that readers will join the effort, sending in donations that will pay for the printing of other books, thus establishing a never-ending legacy of free spiritual books. There are many millions of us on the internet, so if we can reach them, and if they will join our effort by sending in just a few dollars, we can make this a reality.
