God all mighty. What a commotion there was in the heavens. God had been working on his latest creation for the past six days and was about to make a presentation of it to all the other parts of the Universe.

Since all had been invited and the word had leaked out that a new "human being" was to join the ranks of beings there was a lot of consternation. After all, this being was unlike any other in the Universe. What if it didn't fit in? What if it was not positive and loving? What if it did not learn?

So the beings of the universe got together to make sure the new "human" would fit in. They would all bring gifts to make sure the God would be pleased with His new creation. And what wonderful gifts they were.

First "human" was given the gift of the 5 senses. Through these senses human could learn about the world that surrounded them. Human also received the gift of memory. Here was a tool for growth unlike any other, to be used to create a better now and improve on the past. The gift of inspiration gave human the ability to dream and reach for the stars.

There was one very very special gift. It combined, love. joy, happiness. compassion, humor, gratitude, peace and immortality. (The last part was put in on the insistence of the Angels) It was put together with understanding and polished with patience until it shone like the sun.

The Angels (pushy guys that they are) insisted on delivering this gift personally. After much discussion it was agreed that this gift be enclosed in a crystal shell so that everyone could see it.

With great pomp and circumstance the Angels paraded to heaven to meet the human and give it their gift. Lucifer and Michael argued about who would carry the crystal and Michael won. That day was the beginning of the rebellion, but that's another story.

What a presentation this was. In front of millions of beings both physical and incarnate God presented "human" for their inspection. To the surprise of many, there were two humans. Adam and Eve. They were beautiful but so tiny and delicate.

Look! One being said. They have no tough skin or covering to protect them from the elements. They have no wings with which to fly. They have to mate (Disgusting idea) to procreate. Their "bodies" only last a little while. I wonder why God went to all this trouble for such a puny specimen.

Just then Eve broke out into song that filled the heavens with pure energy. While Adam brought forth material form just by speaking the words. The beings were amazed and looked at the humans with awe.

The procession of the gifts began. With each gift the humans grew and glowed with an inner light. It was a breath taking sight. The grand finale was approaching. Here was Michael in his magnificence proudly carrying the crystal. Everyone waited to see what incredible gift was inside.

Lucifer couldn't stand it, so he tripped Michael. Being an angel Michael didn't fall but it was enough of a disturbance to cause the crystal to fall from its pillow to the ground and shatter into a million pieces. Everyone gasped. What would Michael do?

Michael picked up all the pieces and said. Each chard has within it a special gift just for you. And it is justly so that only you can put it back together again. I will scatter them all over the new earth for you to find. Once you have gathered them all you too will shine like the crystal.

Eve looked to Adam and said. Let's name our first girl Crystal to remember this day. And so they did. If you ever meet one you will know her by her love, joy, happiness. compassion, humor, gratitude peace and immortality seeking to come out. She has many faces and sometimes she is even a he.
