Hahahaha!!! I love to laugh, especially at myself. When I can laugh at myself with childlike innocence, I know the truth of BEing, and don't take it all so SERIOUSLY. A Course In Miracles says "bring your problems to the Holy Spirit and let Him help you laugh them away". That IS forgiveness, for when I can laugh at myself, I also forgive others their silly mistakes, for theirs are NEVER as serious as my own. We are the harshest judges of ourselves.

Yesterday an irony struck me as particularly funny. We seek our higher self, to know and understand our identity as part of God, part of All That IS. Yet we seek this with our Identity, a ME who is somehow separate from All That Is. It is this I who desIres to know this hIgher self, to BE One with it, yet we won't even share what little we DO know of our I-dentity. We think of our separate fortunes, our separate houses, cars and possessions, our dreams, goals and Ideals as MINE. We think of ourselves as separate BODIES, even while we aspIre to unIon with Divine Mind.

We have InsIghts, but think of them as mIne. We keep our thoughts and feelings secret from others because our I-dentity is "separate". Even while we seek God, we refuse to share space on the highway to let a car into traffic in front of us. (No, no, it wasn't ME, it was someone ELSE who wouldn't let ME in at the construction site last night ; ).
