Imagine a playful puppy pulling a quilt from a bed. He pulls on a corner, then grabs it at another place and pulls some more, sometimes with little tugs, sometimes with mighty pulls. Bit by bit, a quilt many times his size and weight starts to move, as he keeps pulling from different angles. Eventually, he will get enough of the quilt off the bed so that gravity starts to help, and finally, when the bulk of the quilt is on the floor the rest falls of its own weight. The quilt is a network of threads connected at millions of points, so that whenever any point is pulled, it has an effect on the whole.

Networking today has become a popular strategy. By meeting more and more people, everyone has a greater opportunity of knowing someone who knows someone else who needs products and services one has to offer, or has something one needs. The internet is the most wonderful network ever created by man, as it connects millions of people all over the world while still providing individual freedom of expression and desire.

An experience this weekend showed me that our TRUE network, guided by Divine Intelligence, takes care of ALL of our needs in the same way, and that we are all linked together in one grand scheme for our evolution as spiritual BEings, a part of ONE. A wonderful woman I have known for about six years, who has grown dramatically in awareness and balancing her emotional self, told me of another woman we both know, an emotional basket case. I realized that, as she reached to me for greater balance, she also reached to help the other woman, linking us in a network of love. And I realized that both of them were also lifting me to greater awareness as well, that each link is a two-way street.

We are linked in many directions on many levels, by family, by friends, by work and recreation activities. These links also have many levels, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. And, like a patchwork quilt, different sections of our lives are also linked. Who hasn't discovered miraculous coincidences where "unrelated" parts of our lives are linked, such as a co-worker's in-law's cousin's neighbor turning out to be the uncle of your nephew's fiance? To take the patchwork quilt idea further, each "separate" culture or society is also linked in the same manner, so that what affects one has an effect on all.

Like the relentless puppy, Divine Intelligence is guiding the quilt of LIFE toward our Source, the expression of our Oneness as LOVE. Unlike the puppy, however, Divine Intelligence if fully AWARE of each and every one of the billions of connections between us, guiding every aspect of our lives with the absolute certainty that every thought and action IS leading us to Love. When we think otherwise, we are only seeing from an incomplete perspective, like the puppy on the floor, and do not know that love IS.
