The concept of sharing became more real to me the other day while talking to a loved one and experiencing the bliss of spiritual Oneness, and the ACIM statement "what you share you strengthen" became more REAL for me.

If we look at our experiences in the material world, we see that everything we do has a greater meaning, depth, and satisfaction when we share it with others. It doesn't matter WHAT it is, more important is the fact that it is a shared experience.

Our human experience is, I fully believe, an integral part of the growth process of our soul. Here, we go through the slow steps of building trust and bringing down barriers between ourselves and (the apparent) others in our lives.

When we look at the romantic relationship process, we see it is done by sharing life experiences. From the first meeting with a "stranger", we may agree to share a meal, then an activity of some sort, such as a play or movie. Over time, we share more and more, and begin to appreciate that the partner's sharing of these experiences enhances them somehow, making them more "real" and pleasurable.

This appreciation is the beginning of our awareness of love for anOTHER human being. We think that the joy we have in the shared experience is BECAUSE of the other being, and attribute that joy to them. In truth, the joy is OUR experience, and takes place in OUR consciousness. The "other" is merely the focal point that led us to experience a wholeness that is more than our "separate" physical bodies, the wholeness of the ONE Mind in which we live and move and have our BEing.

Once we recognize this, we can consciously CHOOSE to share more with that "other", and take our sharing to higher and broader levels, thereby expanding our consciousness even MORE. We do not know what levels we may reach, because our human experience has been limited, but I sense that we are able to share at GREAT levels of BEing of which we are presently unaware (see Multi-Media).

I fully believe that this is our process to learn to feel ever MORE love and joy and happiness in a never-ending upward spiral.
